Twas the night before Christmas and winds across the lake went calm.
As the lake froze over, a light snow fell leaving a tranquil scene.
As I stepped out to get this picture, it was noisy - what's going on??
When out on the lake there arose such a clatter
I looked to my right to see what was the matter.
When what to my wondering eyes should I see
but millions of geese - shouting Christmas greetings to each other.
Then up to the house tops, the coursers they flew
and I heard them exclaim, as they flew out of sight
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
